Back to your regularly scheduled mid-episode flails

I have not been this terrified for a Glee episode since...okay, probably recently, but still, my heart is working overtime and my fingers are shaking, nervously dreading the worst case scenario. But right now...

KURT I LOVE YOU ALL IS TEMPORARILY FORGIVEN.

SAVE RACHEL FROM HERSELF AND I WILL LET YOU GO ON ONE COFFEE DATE.

8:40 pm: I was told something good was cut from the end of the scene with Sam and Blaine. That angers me, but at the same time, that was fantastic. Need to watch ten times ASAP.

8:47: *collapses in relief* I still have to write some sort of rageful essay on the matter, but in the meantime, "Love Story" is sending me out on waves of happiness. Good night!

8:51: WHOOPS NOPE BACK TO SAM AND BLAINE AND MY FONT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE LARGE ENOUGH FOR THIS LEVEL OF VICTORY WHOOPING.

Pop quiz, what are the two things I prize above all else in my fiction, presuming cuddling is not an option? That's right, tears and hugs. Sassily shakin' my tail feathers as I strut off for the night, triumphant.

And I know we got the "This Is The New Year" performance ahead of time, but god help me if it doesn't still bring genuine tears of happiness and love and pride for this group number, the perfect representation of everything that is beautiful and good when this show just gets things right.

I have never watched Glee, but I feel your feels. The 20th of February is coming up waaay too quickly ... and yet not fast enough.

I kind of am loving this season now, even though I was devastated by "The Break-Up". At the moment, I'm kind of enjoying all the unrequited crushing. It's kind of refreshing and touching and done in a very believable way. I love the relationship developing between Blaine and Sam, so sweet...

And I wonder was cut? I hadn't heard anything about it, now I'm crazy with curiosity!!

I love Hummelberry friendship so much, but I'm really worried... sensing some major tensions on the horizon... Kurt had valid points about her not doing the topless scene, but I got the feeling that confrontation wasn't just about the movie. Otherwise her inviting Brody to move in wouldn't have come up. Kurt is ticked off about that :/

Really into this season, more than I've been yet so far :)

I agree. I've found Glee usually comes back stronger in January than it left, but the "unrequited" part of crushing is a little bit different and therefore much more fun. Total agreement on Hummelberry, too. I don't mind a little bit of tension, but I think I'll enjoy it more after I can skip to the part where they hug and make up.

As for what was cut, lemme dig it up...
"do we have a conclusion to Blaine's crush on Sam tonight? IE a talk or realization?"
@giovanna parise: they actually cut it from the episode :/

This sounds like a, how do you say, super important thing that should not have been cut. No matter what was said, it definitely shapes one's perspective on the ending, so all I can fathom is them wanting it to be more ambiguous as to whether it was friendship vs. crush motivated? Though I can't come up with a good reason why.

unless they've decided to do something else with it later, and therefore sam needs to not know at this point? I don't know.. i wish they hadn't cut it, whatever it was... i read somewhere that Blaine admitted his crush, and Sam actually accepted it very respectfully and non-awkwardly without returning his feelings (of course). That's something that would have been beautiful to see on network television, for sure... and I'm hoping they had a halfway decent reason for cutting it :/
