HELP

If I keep dominating work like I've been doing today, I might actually get done while the sun is still out and have FREE TIME?? So quick someone help me choose which thrift store to scope out for the MLK Jr. Day sales next. You don't have to know anything about them. Literally just pick a number and it will point me in that direction. YOUR OPTIONS ARE:

Poll #2033523 Chain Thrift Stores in a 13-Mile Radius

CHOOSE MY DESTINY

Unique
0(0.0%)
Savers
0(0.0%)
Goodwill by the Savers
0(0.0%)
Local Goodwill
1(25.0%)
Goodwill by the Super Target
2(50.0%)
Other Goodwill in that town
0(0.0%)
Oh my god literally how do you get anything done with that many Goodwills around
1(25.0%)

FYI, choosing the last one is okay. It just means I roll a die and maybe create six different timelines. Also, there is officially no time limit to this poll because goodness knows I will have to make this decision more than once in the next year,

#do you realize I didn't even count the independent thrift stores #or the plethora of antique stores at my disposal #how will I ever deign to move away from this magical location at the epicenter of EVERYTHING

Bwahaha, I picked what I picked purely because I LOVE TARGET. What in the world is a Super Target?? It sounds beautiful yet terrifying.

Haha! The main difference I'm aware of is that they have a more expanded fresh grocery section with a deli counter. I suppose they might be larger with more product variety overall, but I'm usually too busy running to other stores to explore the other sections.

Target is a beautiful place, though. I am glad we concur.

Let's see . . . there are three Goodwill stores that are I would call reasonably accessible to me. And then there is Nearly New Shop, a locally-run thrift store. I don't think I have it quite as bad as you do. :)

Indeed, I suppose not. Still a good amount of temptation, though. What kind of things do you look for? Or do you have the willpower to mostly browse?

Most of the time, it's browsing. My most recent purchase was an insulated carrier for a water bottle. I don't need it at the moment, but starting in April or so, it becomes necessary.

I think one of my best finds was in 2012. Nearly New Shop had a bunch of briefcases, I think from some kind of conference. They were $1 each, as I recall, and I bought enough to use as "Christmas wrap" that year.

I think I told you about the jacket I found last year. And I've found a few interesting books. My biggest find in that category was a collection of Mike Royko's columns that was signed.

Most of the time, though, I look for tote bags or briefcases.
