Holiday-themed TBT

In an effort to clear some things out of My Documents that I typed up for some reason, here is my Christmas wish list from the year 2000 (age 14-going-on-15). This isn't the one I gave to my parents, at least not in full, because it's so indulgent -- it's just the list of things I wished I could ask for, if my parents made about 3x as much money.

(Note: this is a queued post, and I hope it posts correctly. I wrote it up in September.)
Verbatim from the back of a notebook:

  • Candy: cordial cherries, Crunch bar, Butterfingers, Hershey's bar, Jolly Ranchers, suckers, "some kind of higher-quality milk chocolate"

  • Digimon guide

  • Digimon soundtrack

  • Digimon: The Movie

  • 3 Breyers

  • Glass unicorn sculpture

  • Siamese cat head earrings [a/n: this is...very specific; I must have seen a pair?]

  • Pokemon soundtrack

  • Goo Goo Dolls, “Dizzy Up the Girl”

  • Vertical Horizon, “Everything You Want”

  • "Melissa Ethridge CD maybe?"

  • Savage Garden's new CD

  • Native American music CD

  • Computer games: Dogz and/or Catz, Barbie Horse/Pet game, Showjumper

  • Thick nonfiction horse book [breeds and/or guide to their care]

  • Calendar

  • Notebook (for next journal)

  • Gelly Roll pens (10)

  • Blank VHS tapes

TBH, with the possible exception of the Dude Band CDs, these are...totally and completely things I still think would have been good.

Also, fun spoiler alert, from this list I ended up getting: the Digimon & Pokemon soundtracks, Dogz, Gelly Rolls (probably less than 10) and a couple of notebooks, VHS tapes, a horse book as described, and certainly some of the candy.
