thefridayfive asks questions about winter:

1. What are your feelings about winter?
In theory I enjoy it. I really don't think I could live somewhere without snow, despite the problems it causes me.

2. What is your go-to drink in the winter? (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
Fruit-flavored or vanilla chai tea, closely seconded by -- and excuse the brand name dropping, but there is seriously nothing else like it since Nescafe seems to be kaput -- Maxwell House cappuccino mix, because it really froths!

3. What are your favorite things about the winter?
Wearing sweaters and scarves, the Christmas season (December 1 to approx. January 2nd), having incentive to drink lots of hot beverages and bake desserts, wrapping up in blankets, cuddling under blankets with someone, reading inside on cold / snowy days, the way a fresh snowfall looks, the general lack of sweating, and the pretty Jack Frost ice designs on your windows after a cold night.

4. How do you deal with the wintry blues?
Reading, watching movies/tv, and if possible, trying to convince myself to walk whenever it's sunny or above freezing as long as the wind is not ridiculous.

5. What are your least favorite things about the winter?
-Driving while it's snowing or after a fresh snowfall before snowplows have fully cleared the roads
-Driving while it's icy
-The frequent lack of sun
-How much being outside before 8am or after sunset tends to suck
