But it was so very satisfying to scrub out all the sticky spots (how are there so many??) and jar rings and remove the rotting bits of produce from the corners of the crisper drawer (yeah) until the whole interior was sparkling white again, even the gross space under the bottom drawer where everything collects.
There wasn't much to clean out in terms of foodstuffs; it's never full enough for anything except the odd condiment to hit its expiration date, but I still finished off a few nearly-empty jars and tubs of things that I could spread on toast or dip vegetables into to declutter the interior and double as lunch. We still have a truly ridiculous number of condiment bottles. At least two dozen different salad dressings, sauces, ketchup/mustards, vinegars, and ice cream toppings.
Meanwhile, the other contents of the fridge:[spoiler cut to save space]
- Ground pork
- American cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Can of tuna fish
- Large tub Greek yogurt
- More condiments, just not in bottles: spinach dip, salsa, 3 kinds of jam
