Stop spoiling yourself, Self.

First, through no fault of my own - I swear I was looking for something different - Google decided to link me up  to an LJ page where some cruel person had made a list of all the s.3 episodes and noted the Rose references/appearance in them.  Insatiable curiosity caused me to flick through the first half before I realized "WAUGH WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"  Waiting for the Rose moments is like, the only thing that's going to convince me to keep slogging through The Martha Year.  If I find out what & where they are in advance, I'll just write the whole thing off.

Then one thing led to another and now I'm inquisitively ferreting out the spoilers for s.4, which has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever done considering where I am in the watching of the series.  To be fair, I'm not seeking all the spoilers, really, just as the ones as they pertain to
Rose.  I'm rather desperate to find out what's going on with her.  From fanfic references I think I've developed a vague idea of how her appearances go in s.3, but they're still technically shrouded in mystery.  And yet here I am, all "Happy moment please maybe possibly for s.4?"  The not knowing is killing me.  Of course, I will also consider myself killed if I don't get a proper clingy hug out of this at some point, so maybe the part where I can keep my optimism alive is preferable.

Am basing this mostly on the theory of how DW follows the Office (Jim/Pam) arc:
S.1: A brief introduction, setting the tone, and a reference point of nostalgia
S.2: Explodes off the charts, cute-wise, with a heartbreaking ending (and declarations of love!)
S.3: Third Wheel Woman, but occasional tugs on the heartstrings as reminders that the story in s.2 isn't yet written off
S.4: OK, so it diverges here - Office starts off with everything wrapped up in a neat little bow of perfection, but I can still hold out hope for some measure of satisfaction on DW, right?

I really need to shut up and do my due-tomorrow French homework now, because I just found out that a 3-page paper I thought was due next week is actually due tomorrow.  And I have to read the play first.  And it's "Death and the Maiden," which doesn't mean much to me except that it's for Miserable Class of Death, which means I fully expect it to be an exercise in torture.  (Also, being sick sucks.  The sore throat's almost gone, but now I'm going through more Kleenex than I've neeeded in the year to date, and a cough has settled in.)

I read a rumor of how Rose may be involved in season 4. It was a half rumor of sorts and I don't know how I feel about it. Granted, it could be all made up.

Well, naturally after resisting for 6.3 seconds I fed Google some search terms about series 4 and rumors involving Rose, so now I have enough ideas spinning in my head to satiate me for a while. I was going to ask whether it was a good rumor or a bad one, but even I can't decide. I just keep coming back to how things are irrevocably broken after Doomsday, no matter what they try.

I went from the end of season 2 right to the beginning of season 3 during my watching, so I never got over Rose like people did who had a year to process it.

The rumor I read ... I don't know whether I'd classify it is good or bad.
