Luby Love

Rent with woe and grief

NO!

NBC has passed on Reconstruction. (f/k/a The Crossing, a/k/a Round II for Martin Henderson + Rachelle Lefevre, stars of yesterday's featured fanvid. It's clear, now, why I picked yesterday to post it.)

Passed.  It will not exist.  I...I cannot actually seem to force this fact into my brain.

I refreshed the internet 10,000 times yesterday waiting with physically nauseated excitement/dread waiting to hear the opposite news, because it is just CRUEL to make the last line of this paragraph come true after all my hope and despair:

technically, I'm in a win/win position now, right? Either my show lives, or the new show gets its best stars. Option 3 is that my show lives but Clark gets written off it, costing me the Pretty Factor, but paving the way for Ben/Lily and possibly still giving me two shows for the price of one. So...triple win potential? Unless both shows fall through. That would suck.

Screw you, NBC. Screw you and your stupid-ass Playboy Club. I've been obsessed with the idea of this pilot for almost two months now; I wanted it more than every single one of my returning series and frankly, I still do.

Rocking and sobbing in a corner now, kthnxbai.

In other news, Zach Gilford's pilot is also not picked up, because the universe is really, really, REALLY determined that I will not have even a scrap left over from my beloved Off The Map. At this point I'm afraid to even say I'm looking forward to the DVD extras, because I'm sure if I say that they will promptly decide it's not worth filming any.
Booth/Brennan

Hells yeah

Tiny bright spot to my day:  in the midst of a lengthy comment thread (to which I have yet to respond or even finish reading), I seem to have turned into an on-the-fringes "Chuck" fan by way of Chuck/Sarah. They're not exactly perfect and I still can't see myself watching the actual show*, but there is definite shipper joy to be mined there. *Hey, look, if Pretty Little Liars lives a half life in my fandom world, this one can too.

So I would just like to say, bless you and your surprise sneak peeks for softening the blow I suffered this morning by releasing a clip from the highlight of the finale promo, which is clearly the most exciting-slash-relevant part of the finale/only reason I am interested anyway:

If you need me, I will be alternating between that scene and the scene from last week's episode and also this scene from 4x09, which is my new favorite. Starting to realize usefulness of spy life for creating PERILOUS SITUATIONS.

Oh, and also NBC picked it up for season 5, because apparently they misheard me and thought that more of this ship would make up for losing the other ship. FALSE.  ...wait, I was trying to be less bitter.

Also, because I have no willpower and the time I would normally spend watching my shows is instead halved and being spent reading random TV things, I read about last night's episode of Bones:
