Writer's Block: The Walking Dead

In case of an impending zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice, and why?
Nothing. Because there is no corner of my brain that even marginally thinks, "Yes, it might be possible for this to happen." Even though mummies are kind of like zombies and I can find a part of me that inherently fears those, the sort of zombies you hear about in the media these days? Right. You know what else is frightening? Furniture coming to life and attacking us, using their legs as clubs in revenge for sitting on/piling things on top of them.
My latest book-related obsession: picture books illustrated with a series of photos depicting dolls in posed scenes. I've never seen one in real life, but while looking for other things online I came across two different ones that fascinated me: Becky Lou in Grandmother's Days and Edith and Midnight (which is apparently part of a series). This style should make a comeback. Preferably in color.
One of my New Year's resolutions should have been "clean out my bookmarks." From the moment I booted up the new computer, I have indiscriminately saved links any time something vaguely interested me, not bothering to organize them whatsoever. There are currently...oh, how 'bout that, barely a hundred. But still. Organization, we need it.

This somehow translates to: "I should do fic recs!"
Voice: You should totally do fic recs!
*3 hours later*
RS: This is why I haven't done official multi-fandom fic recs since 2009. It's the worst! Everything has a reason I saved it, but most of those do not translate to "super fantastic story everyone in the fandom should read." I can't decide and then there so many dozens to sort through as it is and these only cover my activity as far back as May and the idea of arranging it all in a post makes me want to die.
Voice: *beams* I know.
RS: Keep forgetting you're composed of 100% evil and I should never listen to you.
Voice: I know that, too.
