So, I first found out about this while reading the Billie Piper entry on Wikipedia a couple of months ago. Prior to that, I'd heard the title in passing, but I thought it was an indie film and made a mental note to investigate further someday, and maybe even consider watching it. I mean, "call girl" doesn't really sound that bad, does it? I was picturing something akin to, I don't know, Bridget Jones' Diary. Yes, mostly because they were both British and involved the word "diary."
Then I read about it in slightly more detail, and my eyes bugged out of my head in horror as I scrubbed frantically at my brain with 2 or 3 buckets of special extra-strength brain bleach. I did my best to forget about it, because surely something so completely awful could not actually exist. Until some cable channel here bought it and started airing episodes. Now TV Squad and Television Without Pity are both covering it, which basically means it's freaking everywhere for me as far as the internet is concerned.
Out of sheer curiosity, I finally read a recap on TWoP. And just from reading 4 little pages, I am rocking and sobbing in a corner. How does this exist and WHYYYYYYY? Ugh. Just, ugh. In conclusion, for the first time ever Billie Piper makes me sad and angry and stunningly disappointed.
