Haven't bought TV shows on DVD for ages, especially since I burn episodes onto DVD now (well, the ones I know I am going to want to rewatch i.e. most of them). If 'Friday Night Lights' ever gets released over here on DVD (doubtful or if it does it will be crazy money), I will probably buy that set. Ditto 'Chuck'.

The scrapbook was for S Club 7 / Harry Potter (early years) / Lord Of The Rings. I wish I could do it for TV shows but obviously we don't get much over here on stuff I'm obsessed with now so I can't really do that (though my tiny room / shelf space is probably grateful).

If I spend on average £40+ on one season boxset, you bet you bottom dollar that I am going to watch ALL of the bonus features. Favourites are blooper reel and behind-the-scenes documentaries though. DVDs that don't provide bonus features (I can think of a number of films) should be disallowed.

Hmm, I guess it would be more difficult to obtain most of the print stuff over there (don't you have any of your own shows to obsess about? :P). Surprised you can't get FNL on DVD after this many seasons, though.

don't you have any of your own shows to obsess about?

Yes - post about this coming some time between now and weekend.

Well, American Football doesn't sell well over here and considering FNL was hardly popular (ratings-wise) in America, not sure it would have ANY chance here.

Sometime between now and this weekend? Tease! (and the other question is, have I heard of it?)

I'm watching the final episode in the VERY short series now and wanted to wait until I'd seen the whole thing.

Probably not! So don't get excited! It's definitely not a show you've mentioned. It's sort of L&O: UK -ish except not. I think you'd like it but I can't tell if you'd find the lead characters endearing or not.

I have a ton of TV on DVD. I love it. Most of the book stuff is from my teenage years, when people would get me X-Files stuff and I would put things like TV Guide in plastic bags to ~preserve~ them haha

Not a bad collection. Come to think of it, most of my books are X-Files too.

I have the first season of BSG and SGA on dvd and that's it. It's too expensive to be a completest for some shows so I just gave up on owning any show on dvd.

I don't have any books related to a tv show but I do have an extensive Star Wars EU novel collection so do I get half a point?

Wow, willpower...although that probably makes sense. I am more likely to watch a show when I catch a rerun on TV than I am to actually break open the DVD case.

Definite half point. :)

Wow. Counting up the number of shows I have on DVD was a bit ridiculous. I had more, actually, but some of them were stolen.

All DVDs should contain actor commentary, blooper reels, and deleted scenes. This should be DVD law.

Definite agreement on those rules.

I actually get mad if one of those isn't on a DVD set. A little much, perhaps, but really, if I'm paying that much money for shows I can watch for free on TV, I should get my money's worth.
