Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays

I don't know how much we're doing in the way of wishlists in my family this year, but I've got my fingers crossed that the copies I saw in October of "The Writer's Tale: The Final Chapter" (a Doctor Who book tailor-made to my interests) I saw at Half Price Books featuring lower-than-the-internet prices for brand new, are still there. Or maybe my parents will remember how much I keep obsessing about the (Our Animal Friends/A Year At) Maple Hill Farm books and track down copies for me, new or old? Doubtful, as I have not mentioned them in months. But still.

That's right, I NEVER STOP THINKING ABOUT BOOKS. Christmas is just when I think about specific books that may cost more than $4. (I actually just dropped $17 (!!) on a book for my dad, although to my eternal frustration it's not even for a shiny new edition -- that's just how freaking hard it was to find a hardcover American copy of one of Betty Macdonald's other memoirs in decent shape.)

P.S. LJ, you know I don't like when you coerce me into annoying people with posts irrelevant to TV. I found a way around this one, but why must you tempt me with these things? Now I have to annoy them (and myself) ALL. WEEK. LONG.
