1. What was the first Internet site you remember joining?
I am pretty sure...that it was Purple Moon! Because I was in sixth grade and that's where I first used the name "Sweetkitty." I barely even remember anything about the site, except I remember it being like the coolest ~virtual world~ ever. The site folded in 1999, but the Wayback Archive dug up the link there. I don't remember any particular gameplay, just that it was all for girls and you got to collect "treasures" by looking around the character profiles - is there anything better than neat little clipart graphics?? NO. I had almost forgotten what that site was like, but the giddy rush of point and click exploring just came back to me.

2. What was the last Internet site you joined?
I made a Pinterest the other day so I could follow a friend from real life. Like a lightbulb turning on, I suddenly realized how you use it - you're really just creating Dream/Vision Boards. It's like an even lower intensity Tumblr, for internet scrapbooking purposes.

3. Are you Mac, Window or something else?
Windows for familiarity, always (learning is hard and bad; so are expense and being different from the majority if there are more than 2 choices). Except never Windows 8, because that is hideous and makes Windows 7 look like a desirable piece of technology.

4. What is the one thing you wish you could easily do with your computer?
Load file folders that are arranged in list format (pure text) load instantly. You know, like in earlier versions of Windows. As opposed to Windows 7, where if there are more than about 300 files, it's like, "weeelllll, hold on, let me think about loading these...." and takes about as long as it used to take when transferring files from a floppy disk to the hard drive.

5. Are you happier with the all the advances that have been made in the last ten years or do you wish for an earlier, less technology-based time?
I'm pretty sure technology/the internet was perfected around 2006, and other than the rise of streaming TV being readily available, everything after that has just been messy and wrong.  Kindles! Tablets! Smart/non-flip phones! Microsoft Office 2007!

...also, public Facebook! Tumblr/Twitter! Rampant GIF usage! ALL GODLESS HEATHENRY.
