I AM GOING TO MEET CHRIS COLFER IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS.
And on my way home from the trial run there tonight, I saw a doe nursing two fawns on someone's lawn right next to the street.
I'M PRETTY SURE THE COLFER ONE IS MORE EXCITING, BUT I'M NOT ENTIRELY SURE.
IT'S BEEN A PRETTY AMAZING WEEK SO FAR.
Did my trial run to the bookstore tonight. I feel much better.I'm pretty sure I can get myself there without incident even without a copilot.

The employee I talked to confirm the rules was really nice, plus there's a helpful sheet of paper explaining other details (including parking, which is what I was most worried about since it's right in the middle of the city, and the store's on a crazy-busy street -- but there are suburban streets two blocks away, plus a 3-hour parking lot for the center. if it's not totally full.)
Looks like I shall have to go without photographic evidence of meeting him, because I did not consider the possibility of making a Tumblr connection/do not want to hand my parents' camera to a stranger, even a nice one, lest they steal/drop/break it, alas, but that's okay. I'll have a book!
The store itself is DARLING (and tiny, holy cow), and I had somehow completely forgotten that Red Balloon caters exclusively to juvenile literature, so it's just a paradise for me with all its middle grade and YA novels. Plus there should be plenty to do in the area; I might go early to look around.
AND THEN EXCITEMENT SHALL TRANSPIRE!
