Which TV shows did you start watching in 2014?
(and stuck with for more than 2 episodes, in my case)
-NCIS: New Orleans, in a super-duper casual way
Which TV shows did you let go of in 2014?
-How I Met Your Mother (worst finale ever! But I'm still watching reruns, so idk if it counts)
-The Crazy Ones (boo cancellation!)
-Revolution (almost, anyway)
-Intelligence (it was a brief affair)
-Miami Medical (same)
-The Big Bang Theory (nhf for Penny's gross hair or her lame job)
-The Middle (YOU TOOK AWAY THE DOG. GAME OVER. I'm still upset, both about the episode and the fact that I can't let the show back in my heart.)
-...Glee (NOOOOOOOOOOO! Actually, technically I have not let go of it yet in my heart any more than I've let go of The Office. Just the new episodes.)
-Law & Order: SVU, possibly? I could still catch up, but I'm pretty far behind and I don't feel anything about that fact.
-and maybe...Grey's Anatomy? I am going on 3 seasons behind now, and cannot really fathom catching up in any kind of on-time manner, so I'm starting to feel like I might not go back until the series is over. Mark dying is a pretty good ending to me.
Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2014? Why?
Reign. Also, of all my perennial favorites, the only two I still really hope to catch up on before I'm 40 are Friday Night Lights and Once Upon a Time. The reason is always: lack of time + these shows are so good I don't want to mainline them, I want to enjoy and write about each episode. That triples the amount of time it takes vs. just watching alone.
Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2015?
I will probably still try to get a handle on Red Band Society, since it's likely gonna be a short series. And Reign?? Also I'm going to try and watch the remaining half of the Raising Hope episodes.
[edit: cursey ou, ABC. Your endless previews for Galavant have made me decide to watch it. Also I MIGHT consider Agent Carter if superheroes and anything else not scientifically proven to exist stay out of it. That seems like a tall order for Marvel, but I didn't see anything in the trailer, so maybe!]
Which TV show impressed you the most in 2014? Why?
It might be Under the Dome! That show is my beautiful baby of OTP shipping + weekly suspense done right. Close runners-up: Revolution and Sleepy Hollow for the same reasons (though less suspense and more "awesome spooky monsters" on the latter), and I feel like I can safely say Castle, given what I've seen so far and what I know to be true.
Which TV show impressed you least in 2014?
I want to say How To Get Away With Murder, which managed to get itself disqualified for being inexcusably sleazy despite being 95% awesome. But on a regular basis? 2 Broke Girls and its terrible waste of time on dumb love interests this spring.
Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2015 unless things significantly improve?
I am literally (envisioning) wielding the Horseman's axe at the thread tying me to Sleepy Hollow, and in a very threatening manner. I hit the PAUSE button after 2x08 because it was stressing me out too much to continue, and I have remained blissfully in the dark about what's happened since, but when I do catch up...if you put one toe out of line with the Crane marriage you are GONE. I'm hysterical and paranoid but I don't care, I will protect my heart at all costs.
Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?
Last year's answer: "Glee. Bonded 4 lyfe."
2015 Me: *weeps hysterically*
So...what the hell, let's tempt fate. There's no way I'll get tired of Castle at this point, right? Not as long as they're married?
P.S. For easy comparison purposes, here is last year's survey.
For Part II, I've spent like a week and a half trying to narrow down my top 10 shippy scenes. At first it seems doable, but then I get to certain couples and it's just like, I can't even pick their best ten, that's how spoiled to the gills I apparently was with romance.
