I feel like I should just make a tag called "Matthew Perry comedy" at this point...
Then, since I was there, I watched the series finale of Two and a Half Men.
This whole miniature season has been weird and creepy, based on what I've seen in the previews, but WOW. Good on you for pulling off a "he's not really dead, he's just been Rose's prisoner!" twist. It's so simple. How did we not all assume this was a possibility. We were just all content to rest on our laurels that Rose would kill him for cheating on her. But after all, despite what Stalker-the-show leads you to believe, most stalkers aren't homicidal.
WHAT A GOOD FINALE TWIST. Loved the Return of the Parade of Ex-Girlfriends, this time receiving fat settlement checks for their trouble. I mean, the second half got needlessly complicated after the actually-kind-of-cool CGI flashback to what happened after Rose married Charlie, the 4th wall breaking/unfunny meta references got way out of hand, and I don't know what the hell that ending was so I'm just going to assume it ended as implied, with a piano falling on Alan and Walden (Berta having dived out of the way, because this show is proud of how little sense it makes and I'd like to keep that legacy going.
But still, a good twist.
Now I have a whole 24 hours before I absolutely have to do work again, and I'm frankly baffled as to what to do with myself. I can't seem to focus on anything computer-y, so I should probably clean, but that just feels so daunting. Maybe I will organize my slowly growing Box Of Stuff to Donate and see if I can't actually get it out the door by the end of the week.
