Annual Year In TV Fandoms Survey, Part 1

I have to do this because I already can't remember anything that happened before June. It's getting bad, guys. I forgot Stalker existed until a week after I started filling this out, and didn't I put down as a favorite show last time? Yeah. So I can't promise this will be 100% complete or accurate even with the aid of my "TV Commentary" tag, but I sure tried.

Which TV shows did you start watching in 2015?
-Red Band Society & Primeval: New World for a hot minute each
-The Odd Couple (2015 version), which I forgot was renewed for season 2 until right this moment
-Cougar Town
-Hot in Cleveland

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2015?
-Red Band Society (and New World), both easy come easy go
-Under the Dome (Bye, baby.)
-Sleepy Hollow, that dread bastard.
-Bad Judge (*sigh*)
-Stalker (*bigger sigh*)
-Glee, if it wasn't already gone
-Maybe Castle? I don't honestly know if I'm ever letting Castle come back home.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2015? Why?
-Still trying to get into Reign, but not ready to emotionally commit so instead I'm kind of half watching it through dollsome's Tumblr. Considered Agent Carter but ultimately did not feel compelled enough to bother.

-Watched Code Black for all of 10 minutes and I was so bored I walked out and never returned, not least because 80% of their promos after that basically said, "I wonder what will happen during this Dramatic Plotline That EVERY OTHER HOSPITAL SHOW HAS DONE." Also tried to like CSI: Cyber, but it is equally not compelling.

-Vaguely considered Blood and Oil, but then I found it it firebombed and got canceled after like 10 episodes? So it doesn't really seem worth the effort. I saw the last 15 minutes of what turned out to be the series finale on TV, and I was not whelmed by anyone except Chace Crawford. Also vaguely considered Wicked City when I found out Ed Westwick was playing the sort of scum his face suggests, but that bombed and got canceled even faster, so. The world is not ready for the Gossip Boys to move on, is the lesson I'm hearing.

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2016?

Which TV show impressed you the most in 2015? Why?
ZOO. You know how many wrong turns it took? None. None wrong turns. I can't even type it without using the ALL-CAPS OF JOY.

Which TV show impressed you least in 2015?
I wanna say Sleepy Hollow, and not even for the same reasons everyone else hates it. That's how universally offensive it was. It just doubled down on the badness at every turn.

That said, Castle and Glee did me worse in ways I don't even want to discuss.

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2016 unless things significantly improve?
I feel like I already let go of everything that's going to get gone, honestly. I have not let go of NCIS, 2 Broke Girls, The Mindy Project or The Middle. They are hanging out in cold storage, waiting for me to have 4 or 5 uninterrupted evenings in a row so that I feel like getting back to TV.

Which TV shows do you think you’ll never let go of no matter how crappy they get?
Remember that time I thought Castle could be answer to this question?
[edit: oh god, last year's answer is even worse than I thought. Guys, I think I'm the one who ruined the show by saying "What the hell, let's tempt fate. There's no way I'll get tired of Castle at this point, right? Not as long as they're married?"]

So the answer to this is "none." None of the very few shows I am technically still watching appear to be likely candidates for "never getting abandoned." Except maybe Survivor, and even I know the day we lose Probst is the day we lose the magic.

Your favourite TV show of the year?
Either Zoo...or my relapse into Revolution. They have a thing in common, try to guess what. Or who.
